Services
Then:
As a Sunday School, the church only held hour long morning services. These services began with prayer, then moved on to an analysis of a certain scripture. They ended with a testimony period and a closing prayer.
Now:
When the Sunday School official became a Baptist Church, the morning service was kept but an afternoon service was also added. These afternoon services begin with a greeting, a beginning prayer, and then a selection by the choir and a reading of scripture. Another prayer follows, another song, and then announcements. After announcements come a testimony period and then a chant-like song. Then, there is an offering and an offering hymn, and the sermon begins. At the end, there is an invitation for anyone new to join the church, and an altar prayer.
